| 1/2 cup butter | |
| 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed | |
| 2 tbsp. orange juice | |
| 2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips | |
| 1 cup all-purpose flour | |
| 1/4 tsp. baking soda | |
| 1/4 tsp. salt | |
| 3/4 cup chopped walnuts | |
| 1 tsp. vanilla extract | |
| 3 eggs | |
2. While the chocolate mixture slightly cools, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together into a large mixing bowl, then stir in the nuts. To the cooled chocolate mixture, add the vanilla and then the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture, stirring gently with a wooden spoon. Fold in the remaining cup of chips and pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Makes 16 brownies.
